Sparrows in the Rain is a romantic novel about loneliness, love and the search for happiness, set in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota in the United States.
Maddeson is dating Warren. For her, it is the most serious relationship she’s had. But she has been damaged by events in her childhood and her cool sassy ways can’t hide her fears, her vulnerabilities and her jealous and possessive nature.
Warren, a regular, easy going guy, sees their relationship as casual and tolerates Maddeson's unreasonable demands and occasional irrational behaviour. Until he meets Penny. They instantly click and become good friends until Warren realises he has fallen in love with her.
Penny, newly single after a failed relationship, vows to stay that way. She loves her friendship with Warren. He’s made her laugh again and seems always to be around for her. As the months pass, she begins to view him differently.
